Air receivers
Why have a receiver?
A receiver for the storage of air is required to:
- Provide a stable volume of air which will avoid erratic operation of the compressor pressure switch.
- Provide a buffer or reserve volume of compressed air to cope with a sudden demand for air.
- Provide a collection point for condensate which results from the reduction in temperature as the air leaves the compressor after cooler
- Provide a large surface area which will assist in further cooling of the compressed air and hence further condensation before the air passes into the system.
Precautions
The air receiver should be sited so that it is in the coolest area possible.
The hot exhaust air from compressors or dryers must not be allowed to impinge upon the receiver.
Features
Manufactured to current British standards and supplied painted in primer c/w gauge, relief & drain valves.
